Yang Peijiang, born in Shantou Guangdong in 1963, graduated from Guangzhou Acmdemy of Fine Arts. At present he is associate professor and masters tutor of college of Arts and design, Shantou University, a member of Chinese Artists association. Sincerity is the word that people always hang on their lips, sometimes because they are too often mentioned and ignore the value. But Yang Peijiang's sincerity, in the process of getting along with him, always reveals. He keeps it a simple low-key, at a friend's party is often the role of self mockery. A British writer Maugham once said, the place where were you born is not necessarily home, the real home is the place where you can find a sense of belonging.

 

At this point, Hui Village has a different meaning for Yang Peijiang. What exactly is Hui village? Why is he so fascinated? Hui village is a village in Raoping county Shantou city, at the junction of Guangdong and Fujian, belong to no mans land. It is also the achievement of its beautiful, pristine ecology, in fact, for the benefit of Yang Peijiang's psychological significance of the village is much larger than its geographical location. He and the village soon for nearly thirty years, can be said here almost witnessed the whole course of his art.

 

Around 1985, then enrolled in the Guangzhou Academy of fine arts, Yang Peijiang listened to the students talk about the village, they were there to graduation creation, returned school they described to him about interesting and scenery, peaceful and calm environment, honest people, mountain vegetation, fence haystack, dusk and sunset...... All this makes people yearning. Most of the time, Yang Peijiang kept in a village called Jinbeitang, only five or six families in the village, the entrance of the village is only a narrow path.
